Language Learning and Teaching with the aid of Technology
The ARCHI21 project has now been going for nine months and there has been a lot of activity on the ARCHI21 island in Second Life with more still to come.
Since January 2011 several course have taken place in Second Life using a content (Architecture) and language integrated learning (CLIL) approach. French and other European students of Architecture, their teachers and language mediators have been involved in these.
ARCHI21 presentations were also given at the 4th Annual Virtual Worlds Best Practices in Education Conference. A poster, created by project team member, Light Sequent (Av), was awarded first place in the People's Choice Poster competiton at the conference. For further information see www.cybergogy.co.uk.
