Stefanie Hundsberger's report on Foreign language learning in Second Life and the implications for resource provision in academic libraries

This report was produced as a research exercise for the Arcadia Fellowship Programme at Cambridge University Library over a period of nine weeks. It aimed to investigate foreign language learning in Second Life, the 3D virtual world, and the implications for resource provision in academic libraries. The research was carried out by interviewing sixteen volunteers. The group of volunteers comprised foreign language teachers, teacher trainers and a student, all of them active in Western Europe.
