Language Learning and Teaching with the aid of Technology
Last week we showcased the ARCHI21 Project at the LLAS e-learning Symposium with guided island visits and a poster focussing on the experiences of the language mediators (see below). More info. and the poster are available here: Archi21 Project
Archi21 is an EU-funded project involving five European universities and conducting research into the teaching of Architecture and Design through Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL) using Second Life. The additional languages in the project are French, English and Slovene. Language mediators from the University of Southampton are supporting the students as the project explores different models for combining content and language education in a 3D virtual world.
The Archi21 island in SL is open for visits so do drop in and have a look around.
