EduNation Islands--ready for viewing!

Greetings all,

The newly recreated EduNation Islands, two of which are under new ownership (one by yours truly) are open and ready to use:

We have a number of social spaces, classroom spaces, small-group meeting areas, holodecks, and spots for simple fun on all three of the islands.

In addition to the public spaces which can be used by any of the EUROCALL or CALICO VW members, both EduNation I and III have plots for rent for teachers if you are in need of a more permanent home. Details here: http://edunation-islands.wikispaces.com/

We'll also be announcing an open house get together for the islands VERY soon, so keep your eyes open for that.

We want these islands to be a great place for language teachers and learners in SL, so we'd love to see you there (whether you have your own plot there or not!!!!).

We had our last SLExperiments meeting here on EduNation (I hope it was a public space):

I wish to extend my personal thanks to Randall for the excellent job that he has done. EduNation III looks great! I am delighted to be sharing the joint EUROCALL/CALICO HQ with Randall. It has now been furnished and equipped with viewing screens: a shared media screen downstairs that links to this Ning, another shared media screen upstairs that links to Teachers TV video, and a PowerPoint presentation screen upstairs. You can pick up a free EUROCALL teeshirt at the entrance and there is a box containing a set of landmarks of interesting paces to visit in SL. A notecard containing information about EUROCALL and CALICO will automatically be delivered to you when you visit the HQ. We also have EUROCALL and CALICO groups in SL, which are free to join.
