Education in Second Life 2015 Workshops
Join us for a series of workshops aimed at teachers interested in teaching in the Virtual World Second Life. All workshops are free and open to the public. These workshops assume basic proficiency in SL (knowing how to move, access your inventory, etc.).

"The 8th annual VWBPE conference starts 18th March to 21st March 2015 in Second Life. This is another call out for volunteers to sign up. Training for Volunteers starts in early March 2015 for most positions. Information about training, schedule-sign ups and events will be sent by the VWBPE team if you have been approved.

there is a survey taking place, which is aimed at giving Linden Lab a prioritised list of features/characteristics that are important and necessary to educators in the "next generation" virtual world platform the Lab is currently developing.
The organisers of the survey intend to forward a rank-ordered list of priorities to Linden Lab based on the aggregated rankings provided by everyone who takes this survey. Your response would be appreciated, and it will take just a few minutes of your time.

(I know it's late :( I only found out about it now ... and I'm really sorry I missed it! There may be a way to get it recorded though)
On 15 October I and Marshall Dozier, University of Edinburgh, will be presenting a talk which will be livestreamed. It is entitled *Social, ethical, digital: issues in 3D worlds research* and we will actually be delivering the talk within Second Life, delivered via a skype screenshare (and then livestreamed).
